Wishbone Bridge & Unity Underpass Now Open

Wishbone Bridge & Unity Underpass, a mixed-use project, is complete at Lady Bird Lake, Austin. Developed by the City of Austin, it involved Transportation and Public Works, Parks and Recreation, and Capital Delivery Services.

Features include a shaded plaza, lighting, benches, art installations, bicycle racks, and a trail underpass with lighting. The tunnel mural and widened sidewalk improve pedestrian flow.

Originally slated for February 7, 2026, completion occurred ahead of schedule, boosting multimodal transport and connectivity. Transit details are currently unavailable.
